Dr. Joshua W. Hall was born in Decatur, Illinois. He grew up in Topeka, Kansas attending both public schools and Christian schools. He received Jesus Christ as savior in December of 1989, at his parents’ home. In the summer of 2001, while beginning to pursue an Associate’s degree in Business Information Systems, Josh sensed God's call to ministry and to preach the gospel. That fall he enrolled at Heartland Baptist Bible College, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to begin training for vocational ministry. He has a love for both the beauty of the Southwest Missouri area as well as the people who have made it their home. He is married to Angie, and they have two children.
Josh is a graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pastoral Ministry & Bible. He continued his studies through Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla, Georgia, earning a Master of Ministry, and then a Doctor of Ministry. Josh believes his calling is to help people know God and grow closer to Him through their relationship with Jesus Christ. He has always felt that his calling was to be a bi-vocational minister and he is grateful for all the opportunities God has allowed him to be a part of through the years. Prior to coming to Mt. Zion, Josh previously served as the Pastor of First Baptist Church of South Greenfield, Missouri from 2017-2022. He enjoys exploring the trails of the Ozarks, sports, time with friends, and good food. He spends a good bit of time at Braums. |
